As Northern Craft Fair has now finished, I am looking at booking a stall at Tynemouth Market every Sunday on the run up to Christmas (or try and book). I also have pen at Crafts in the Pen at Skipton on 16-17th November. I loved it last time and thought I would try again this year too. Its a great day out, I highly recommend visiting. It has been such a busy day.. Driving TWO hours to get to Crafts in the Pen at Skipton and setting up my pen for the weekend. It is my first craft stall at an event like this and I was so nervous and excited. After a few hours of setting up I finally finished. For three days I have been learning more about Rhino at The Goldsmith Centre, London. I have had some experience using this software during my Bachelor degree at The University of Sunderland and at work using Matrix 9.0 (a plug-in to Rhino, which is more jewellery specific). It was a three full day course, which I can't recommend enough. The teaching was led by Sean Cowell and he was very knowledgable and patient with the group, I am certainly going to attend the next level

I was excited to see the masters degree show this year at The National Glass Centre, Sunderland. It was titled 'We Ar' - a play on the name of the river 'Wear' which runs through Sunderland. Just before my time working as a Camp Counsellor at Camp Med-O-Lark in Maine I hired an electrician to wire in my new kiln. Through a mutual friend I have managed to bag myself a kiln, with a price tag I cannot complain about. It will be wired in very soon, so I can make my own work once again in the near future.
