Other Fairs/Markets Leading up to Christmas
As Northern Craft Fair has now finished, I am looking at booking a stall at Tynemouth Market every Sunday on the run up to Christmas (or try and book). I also have pen at Crafts in the Pen at Skipton on 16-17th November. I loved it last time and thought I would try again this year too. Its a great day out, I highly recommend visiting. I am also adding more listings to my Etsy shop, so if you decide to buy later ;) #stalls #newcastle #tyneandwear #tynemouth #maker #handmade #h

After Christmas, although it has been quiet with stalls.. I have been accepted to hold a stand at the BCTF (British Craft Trade Fair) in Harrogate. This is a chance for me to show my collection and gain stockists. This will be a first for me and my business and a very exciting step progression. So recently I have been researching and gathering inspiration for future designs which would be desirable. I will continue to blog about this process up to the event itself. As well a

Crafts in the Pen Set Up
It has been such a busy day.. Driving TWO hours to get to Crafts in the Pen at Skipton and setting up my pen for the weekend. It is my first craft stall at an event like this and I was so nervous and excited. After a few hours of setting up I finally finished. Looking at the other stalls setting up I know it is going to be a good show. Below are a few pictures of setting up and the result. #2018 #christmas #craft #crafts #ceramics #handmade #handmadeceramics #ceramic #clay #p

Simply Rhino Level One
For three days I have been learning more about Rhino at The Goldsmith Centre, London. I have had some experience using this software during my Bachelor degree at The University of Sunderland and at work using Matrix 9.0 (a plug-in to Rhino, which is more jewellery specific). It was a three full day course, which I can't recommend enough. The teaching was led by Sean Cowell and he was very knowledgable and patient with the group, I am certainly going to attend the next level

Masters Degree Show 2017
I was excited to see the masters degree show this year at The National Glass Centre, Sunderland. It was titled 'We Ar' - a play on the name of the river 'Wear' which runs through Sunderland. It was great to see familiar faces and looking at new art work this year the students worked so hard on. My favourites were (in no particular order) Connor Garton, James Douglass and Neil Edwards. Both Edwards and Garton exhibited glass blown work, they were incredibly impressive too as I
Building my studio
Just before my time working as a Camp Counsellor at Camp Med-O-Lark in Maine I hired an electrician to wire in my new kiln. I just need to figure out how to plug in the controller box then I should be able to make work again soon. I have also just bought a new pottery wheel from Sedgefield Pottery Supplies. Bill is the owner of Sedgefield Pottery Studio, and told me more about my kiln as he once had it. Building a ceramic studio for myself has been a slow process, as the esse
A Kiln!
Through a mutual friend I have managed to bag myself a kiln, with a price tag I cannot complain about. It will be wired in very soon, so I can make my own work once again in the near future. I cannot wait! I really believe I am having ceramic withdrawal symptoms. I have been drawing and sketching ideas in my sketch book so I have a good ideas where my focus will be. I am SO excited! #ceramic #ceramics #ceramicblogger #clayblogger #blog #blogs #creativeblogger #create #creativ
