Sarah Wafer is an artist primarily working in clay, amongst her art portfolio she has exhibited installations, sculptures and domestic ware. Wafer is inspired by the First World War and likes to capture moments in history whether they are personal stories regarding her family, or generatic stories during this period to commemorate. She enjoys making conceptual artwork with an intriguing and empathetic narrative.

Recently Sarah Wafer has taken a position to design and create bespoke jewellery. It is a great opportunity to experiment with other craft materials for inspiration towards her ceramics.

Sarah Wafer is also furthering her ceramic creating future as she is now setting up her a studio just outside of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
